The Mathematics Contests Association (MCA) has been running the official math contest since 1971. The organization now has six main divisions. Students can register for any of the six divisions through their schools or websites. They have to complete a set of tasks within a specified time period to qualify for a prize.

The Mathematics Contests Association now has two main contests for the students of grades seven and eight. The first competition, the 2021 Solutions Grades 7 Team Challenge, is open to all students in grades seven and eight. Students have to present their math project in the specified solutions book at the end of the competition. The project has to be mathematical in nature, using arithmetic and logic. This competition is for the first place prize.

The second math contest is the 2021 Grade 8 Team Challenge. This is open to all students in grades eight and higher. To qualify, students have to create a group with at least three students who belong to the same class. The group must then produce a math problem that can be solved using the standard mathematical problem-solving method using scratch paper and no points will be awarded if the solution is found using a pencil.

There are also other math contests conducted regularly. One is the International Math Olympics, organized every four years. In this competition, teams from all over the world compete to produce the most mathematically sound solutions to a single question based on available information. The answers have to be original and published on the internet within 24 hours. The math competition winners go home with a cash prize. The math contest winners have the opportunity to receive a diploma.

Another math contest is the Math TV Search. Users search a variety of topics and the best answer wins a prize. One of the weekly problems allows users to type in "food." The suggested solutions are then given. The math problem can be solved by a total novice or a professional statistician. People who win get a T-shirt, coffee mug, calendar or mouse pad. To participate in a match contest, check it out.

There are other math competitions that are held monthly, weekly or even daily. The ones listed above have a wide base of participants from all age groups. Whatever type of math is loved by a child, a parent or teacher, there will always be a way for them to show off their skills and win prizes. These contests allow kids to be creative and have fun. Parents and teachers also appreciate that no points will be awarded if the solution uses a regular pencil and paper and no points will be awarded if the solution is discovered by using the latest computerized software.
